Basic information

Patient Summary (PS) makes the basic information on health status of a patient available to a health professional. It contains important data which may promote treatment safety, efficacy, and even save the life.

Content

Patient Summary contains contact and clinical patient data. These are uploaded in the system based on records of physicians, pharmacies or hospitals, and based on own patient records as well.

Access to data

For access todata from Patient Summary the consent of the patient is not necessary. Acces to data from Electronic health Book is defined by law.

What does the Patient Summary not contain

Patient Summary does not contain data specified by Act on National Health Information System No.č. 153/2013 Col.

Perspective of Patient Summary

Extension of Patient Summary functionalities is planned to promote quality of medical data in electronic form, and to make the Patient Summary usable for physicians from abroad.
